Position Summary

As the IRIS Quality Assurance Specialist, you will participate in the development and implementation of the Quality Management program and the Departments’ efforts related to the objective monitoring and improvement of quality-of-care performance of the IRIS program. You will lead the efforts of the ongoing quality improvement project. Duties may include:
• Collecting and evaluating information necessary for performance measurement; ensuring the quality of data used for performance measurement and analyzing results for improvement.
• Ensuring program integrity, problem resolution, investigating grievances, and appeals, mitigating risk, and critical incident management associated with the quality of care and participant results linked to person-centered values of long-term care and self-directed care in Wisconsin.
• Participating in process improvement activities, policy development, and implementation and providing technical assistance to contractors, vendors and other stakeholders on program requirements, state and federal rule interpretations, and operational issues.

Salary Information

The starting salary is between $34.00 and $38.00 per hour (approximately between $70,700 and $79,000 per year), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.

Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is classified as a Quality Assurance Program Specialist – Senior and is in pay schedule and range 07/03.

Job Details

All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.

For positions that do allow remote working flexibility, although residency in the State of WI is not required for permanent positions, it is not anticipated that working outside of WI or bordering cities will be allowed as positions may at times need to report to office locations in WI on short notice.

Qualifications

• Experience with data analysis (e.g., conducting trend analysis, developing reports based on collected data, measuring performance, evaluating results, etc.).

• Experience working with long-term care Medicaid programs, such as IRIS or Family Care.
• Experience working as a case manager or social worker.
• Experience with quality improvement, assurance or compliance methods and techniques.

Performs general law enforcement duties contributing to the prevention, suppression and detection of crime, protection of citizen's rights, welfare and property, and enforcement of ordinances and laws within the City of Waukesha and/or work with other law enforcement agencies and city departments.

The City of Waukesha Board of Police and Fire Commissioners is accepting applications for the position of Patrol Officer/Recruit. Lateral transfers accepted per the Waukesha Professional Police Association (WPPA) Labor Agreement(Article 20.01(B)) pertaining to pay and vacation accrual. Attendance/Completion of Police Recruit Academy is not a requirement to apply.

Applicants must:
• Be 21 years of age or older as of hire date.
• Possess valid Wisconsin Driver's License.
• Be a US Citizen.
• Have no felony convictions.
• Be certified by the State of Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board, or be eligible for certification.
• Have a minimum of 60 college credits from an accredited university, college or technical school at time of hire.
• Pass a physical agility test, written examination, oral interviews, thorough background investigation, polygraph test (if applicable), medical exam including a drug screen and a psychological assessment prior to the time of hiring.

Specific Accountabilities:
1. Apply the principles of safety, communication, teamwork and accountability into all police operations.
2. Patrol and police assigned areas on foot, in squad cars or other police vehicles.
3. Utilize communication equipment to report in, call for assistance, receive calls in both emergency or non-emergency situations, etc.
4. Conduct investigations of auto or other accidents, complaints, domestic disputes, crimes against persons or property, missing persons, or other such investigations as assigned.
5. Render first aid at accidents.
6. Serve official notices and summons upon individuals issued by the court or other competent authority and make arrests.
7. Appear as a witness and give testimony at hearings and court trials when associated to the official duties of police officer on behalf of the City.
8. Perform other general duties for the purpose of law enforcement e.g., writing and filing of reports, ticketing for violations, directing traffic, crowd control, etc.
9. File reports, make checks of incarcerated persons in department lock-up and perform other related assignments as prescribed.
10. Operate police vehicles and other department equipment.
11. May assist other department personnel as directed with investigations, interrogations, apprehensions in unusual or emergency situations.

The Police and Fire Commission requires that Police Officers be certified by the State of Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board or have a minimum of 60 credits from an accredited university, college or technical school. Attendance/Completion of Police Recruit Academy is not a requirement to apply. Further, they require that Police Officers be U.S. citizens, be 21 years of age or older as of hire date, possess a valid Wisconsin Drivers License, and have no felony convictions.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for performing professional non-landfill related solid waste management work in an assigned geographic area within the Waste Management program. This work includes performing plan reviews, inspections, investigations and ensuring compliance with applicable statutes, rules, regulations, and administrative codes related non-landfill solid waste management.

This position provides science-based regulatory oversight, technical assistance, outreach and expertise related to the proper management, beneficial reuse or disposal of discarded materials. This position acts as a solid waste non-landfill subprogram representative on issues regarding the licensing of new solid waste management facilities, reviewing and issuing decisions on plans and specifications for non-landfill regulated solid waste recycling facilities, siting and compliance, evaluation of proposals to re-use waste materials and enforcement cases.

Salary Information

Starting pay for the entry level is $ 25 - $30.60 / ho ur ($52,000 - $ 63,648 annually) .

Starting pay for the senior level is $ 26 - $33.66/ hour ($54,080 - $ 70,012.8 annually).

These positions are in Pay Schedule/Range 15-04 and 15-03. A 12-month probation period may be required. Pay on appointment for current or former state employees will follow the provisions of the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan.

Job Details

This position has responsibility for non-landfill related solid waste management work in the assigned counties, region and other areas of the state as assigned by the supervisor. Frequent travel is required within the assigned counties, region, and other areas of the state for inspections, training, meetings, or conferences.

Employment will require the selected candidate to pass a background check. The Department of Natural Resources does not sponsor work visas at the time of hire or anytime during employment. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required Employment Eligibility Form I-9 upon hire.

Qualifications
